Care Code was founded in 2008 by Robert and Amanda Wall who personally experienced the devastating effects of a spinal cord injury after Robert unknowingly dove into a shallow area of Delaware Bay.  Rob needed to keep his friends and family updated about his recovery but found it emotionally draining to make phone calls and send multiple emails.  He quickly realized that the best way to maintain communication with his support network was through a personalized website.

In 2006, Rob launched his personal website where he shared news about his remarkable recovery that resulted from participation in Project Walk, an exercised based recovery program.  The website provided a place to receive much needed support and encouragement as well as share news about his amazing progress, which included a video of him taking his first steps ‘post injury’.  Rob decided to share his computer skills and love of exercise based recovery with the spinal cord injury community so that everyone afflicted with this devastating injury can maintain communication with their support system and have access to exercised based recovery.
